A Shocking Departure and a New Chapter for Battle Beast
In a recent interview, Eero Sipilä, the bassist and founding member of Battle Beast, opened up about the unexpected departure of their long-time frontwoman, Noora Louhimo. This news left Eero in a state of absolute shock, as it came completely out of the blue.
When asked about the moment he found out, Eero shared, "I was in total disbelief. It felt like a random, unexpected twist of fate. But as time passed, I realized that the band's journey had begun long before Noora, and it could continue without her too."
But here's where it gets controversial... Despite the initial shock, Eero and the band decided to respect Noora's decision and move forward. They began an active search for a new vocalist, and that's when they discovered Marina La Torraca.
Marina, a Brazilian powerhouse vocalist, had already made a name for herself in the metal scene with her band Phantom Elite and the symphonic metal project Exit Eden. When approached by Battle Beast, she was thrilled and eager to join.
"It was a trial by fire," Eero admitted about the quick addition of Marina to the band. "But the energy and motivation within the band are sky-high. We're rehearsing every day to ensure a successful tour. I have no doubts that it will be an incredible experience for both us and our fans."
And this is the part most people miss... Marina's versatility and commanding vocal range are a perfect fit for Battle Beast. She effortlessly transitions from melodic passages to fierce screams, bringing a fresh energy to the band.
